The Line Of Best Fit
Although it is a well-known fact that it was formed, like some sort of sick East Anglian chimera, out of the blogging efforts of the two editorial Riches, Hughes and Thane at some unspecified point in the past, beyond that The Line Of Best Fit's origins are hazy and mysterious at best.
But since the start of 2007 the rising music webzine has gone (to swerve giggling into biog cliches) from strength to strength, with a rising community section and a successful sideline in event management.
Updated daily by a team of writers from both sides of the atlantic, TLOBF focuses on indie & alternative news, reviews, and exclusive interviews.

Music Export Denmark (MXD)
MXD was founded in January 2004 as a joint initiative of Denmark’s Radio, The Roskilde Festival / the Venue Foundation, and ROSA – The Danish Rock Council to create a more effective exposure of Danish music abroad. The idea was to unite the experience and networks that each of the three parties have in this field and create substantial financial backing.
In the summer of 2004, the Danish division of IPFI Denmark, and DUP – The Independent Record Companies - joined forces, and acknowledging wide support of the initiative, the Ministry of Cultural Affairs increased its funding of the project with an additional annual 3.5 million DKK for the next three years.
The objectives of MXD are to support the export of Danish Music and to promote Danish Professional popular music abroad – both commercially and culturally.
These objectives are to be achieved primarily by means of:
• Financial support of Danish music export initiatives and concert campaigns.
• An increased international awareness of Danish M...
Iceland Music Export (IMX)
It’s difficult to think of Iceland without thinking of superlative music. From Bjork and The Sugarcubes, Sigur Ros, Mum and Mugison and many other classical, jazz, folk and pop artists, this small and remote North Atlantic nation has punched well above its weight over the last two decades.
If anything, the island’s incessant soundtrack is growing ever more dynamic, as artists and bands, inspired by the continual international success of their peers, continue to create original, world class music.
IMX, an exciting new government sponsored initiative aims to bring together the disparate strands of Iceland’s eclectic scene under one roof. By increasing access to information about artists, collaborating with companies to promote Icelandic music abroad and organizing marketing strategies, festival and event participation, IMX will increase the visibility of Icelandic music in the international sphere, and provide an essential one-stop resource for all interested parties.
IMX will achieve its ends via a multi-strategy approach that includes buildin...

The Lexington, London
"The Lexington is the best new venue in London and excited to be working with the best new Nordic talent." Matty Hall, promoter at The Lexington
About The Lexington
It would be pointless to deny that there's a distinct American feel to the lounge bar downstairs at the Lexington that extends across the bordello baroque of the decor, fairly oozes from large sections of the jukebox and resonates down much of the drinks list. Alongside a decent range of ever so slightly more regular fare, we've got Sierra Nevada on draught and fridges stocked with the very best that the American microbreweries have to offer in the shape of Anchor Steam, Goose Island and Dead Guy Ale. If there's a better range of premium and rare American bourbons and whiskeys in London we'd like to know about it, because our links via the Buffalo Bar with premium distillers such as Buffalo Trace and Heaven Hill give us something of an unfair advantage. We're currently rustling up a menu to match and intend to offer Gourmet Burgers, plates of ribs, and wing night. While all that...
